I think this is a tough one for most of us.  There are things we don’t like.  We want the world to change.

But take responsibility?  Hold on there!  If I’m not mistaken, that sounds a lot like work.  Can’t I just blame someone else?  Maybe it’s my mom’s fault.  Or some distant ancestor.  The government’s another handy scape goat.

Whether your concern is energy or education, human rights or truth in media, the reality is that if you want things to get better, you need to step up and own your part in the problem.  That may not seem like much, but if you look at yourself and identify habits that you can change that feed into larger problems, you’ve already made an impact.  Do this a couple of times and the ripples move outward.

Little ripples add up.
